Linguistic datasets for the programme and statics in DE/ EN / ES / FR / RUS
Calculator / Unit converter for pressure / vacuum.
Conversion into every metric unit is possible.
Calculator for diameter / height / volume. Helps calculate the main dimensions which are missing.

M 1 Rectangular tank

Choose between the following designs:
Tank without reinforcement Tank with edge reinforcement
Tank with circumferential reinforcement
Tank with yolk reinforcement
Tank with cross-ribbed sidewalls and/or tie rod

Tank Designer calculates the following for you:
Thickness of the wall, base and lid Ribbing of the wall, base and lid
Dimensions and position of the reinforcement profile
Dimensions and position of the tie rods

M 2a Cylindrical tanks

Choose between the following designs:
Tanks with constant wall thickness Graded tanks
Two-shell tanks
Retention tank with constant wall thickness
Graded retention tank Double retention tank

Tank Designer calculates the following for you:
Thickness of cylinder, base and the lid
Designing of a conical base with spoke-like support
Ribbing of the base and lid
Dimensions and position of the reinforcement profile on the lid or base
Floor anchoring Lifting eyelets for transport of the tank
Requirement of buoyancy protection in a Retention tank
The edge fibre elongation during manufacturing of cylinder using sheets
Effect of weather conditions (wind, snow, sun)
Effect of nozzles and menholes
Effect of short and long term overpressure or vacuum

M 3 Cylindrical ventilation ducts

Tank Designer calculates the following for you:
Wall thickness of cylindrical ventilator ducts
This programme block is exclusively designed for calculations with vacuum (under pressure).

M 4 Angular ventilation ducts

Tank Designer calculates the following for you:
The wall thickness of rectangular ventilator ducts without reinforcements
The wall thickness of rectangular ventilator ducts with reinforcements and their reinforcement spacing and dimensions
This programme block is exclusively designed for calculations with vacuum (under pressure).

M 5 Seismic safety

Cylindrical and vertical tanks (with flat, conical or sloped bottom) can now be optionally assessed for their seismic safety. This is possible at any installation site around the world. Tank Designer allows the input of the known subsoil conditions as well as all the earthquake magnitudes.

Tank Designer calculates the following for you:
Stability of the tank
Stability of the Retention tank
Anchorage of the tank or Retention tank
Fixing and supporting (stabilizing) the tank in the retention tank

M 6 Individual cost analysis

Optimize your poly tank according detailed calculated manufacturing cost!

Developed together with and proven by international operating tank and apparatus manufacturer

For rectangular tank (addition to module 1) and/or cylindrical tank (addition to module 2a)

Insert your material prices into the database (once)
Insert you cost per working hour -men and/or machine- into the database (once)
Review the database for working speed of men and machine (once)
Setup your way of production and design in the dashboard (create your default setting)
Calculate / receive technical design and economic data (in one calculation)

Z 7 = twin-wall sheets (HKP)

This add-on module for rectangular tanks is based on DVS 2205-5 and EN 12573-5. It can calculate all hollow panels currently available on the market (suitable for thermoplastic tank construction). The calculation of production costs by cost analysis (M 6) is integrated and available for users of this module also. This allows you to make a direct comparison between full thermoplastic tanks and those with twin-wall-sheets (hollow chamber Panels).

Tank Designer calculates for you:

  • Plates with parallel or cross ribbed reinforcement
  • Reinforcement characteristics of the hollow plates in 2 axes
  • All data necessary for the construction of rectangular tanks
  • In combination with module 6, the production costs of the tanks

N 0.1 Upgrading of the network version

With purchase of the full version included in the price, you will receive the license data for up to 3 workstations. Optionally, you may also buy further workstation licenses. These workstations work independently of each other in the basic version and have their own databases. The optional (also upgradeable) network version allows you to store data in a central database on the server. All workstations can be activated for access to this central database!

Z 1.1 various steel profiles / Upgrade for rectangular tanksTank Variante gemischt

The rectangular tank basic version offers reinforcement systems made of St37 or thermoplastic material. Additionally, you can choose from the profiled materials steel: St52/ V2A/ V4A or aluminium using this optional module. From 5 further variants, you can determine how the vertical tanks have to be fixed and where you want to use the tie rod if any at all

Z 1.2 Pressure/ Upgrade for rectangular tanks

allows to calculate rectangular tanks under long term pressure (e.g. scrubber, biogas tanks etc.)

Z 1.3 Steel sheets/ Upgrade for rectangular tanks

allows to calculate rectangular tanks made of steel, stainless steel or aluminum sheets (walls and supporting system)

Z 2a.1 Nozzles / Upgrade for cylindrical tanks

Does the cylindrical tank that is to be constructed contain nozzles or manholes? Tank Designer takes this into consideration regardless of whether it is positioned in the roof or in the cylinder. An optional module helps determine the required nozzle, flange and lid thickness and takes their positive effect on the thickness of the cylinder into account. Also contains: Database with nozzles and manholes (D = 25 up to 800 mm) in SDR11

Z 2a.2 Special base/ Upgrade for cylindrical tanks

offer the design of additional special base (conical base with spoke type support included into basic module 2a):

  • conical base with ring support
  • sloped base with parallel support
